About the name
In music, a fermata is the held note: the small symbol above the staff that tells the musicians to sustain, suspended, until the conductor releases them. The raised baton. The hall holding its breath. The pause that makes the resolution land.
We took the name because it is what this product asks of you. Hold. We watch the specific room you’ve named, every night, for as long as the trip is months away. When your target rate arrives, we release you to act.
