A hotel price tracker for the exact room
Fermata tracks hotel prices at the room level. Pick the room category you actually want, name the rate you would book at, and get one email when the nightly price reaches it. Checked every night, with the history to show for it.

How it works
Pick the exact room
Not cheapest at the Park Hyatt. The 1 King Bed, City View, for the nights you actually want.
Set the price you would book at
Just a number. No range, no urgency theatre, no wishful thinking.
We email you the moment it hits
We check the price every night. Your alert fires for the room you defined, no other.
What a hotel price tracker should watch
Most hotel price trackers watch one number per property: the cheapest room available for your dates. That number is honest, but it usually belongs to the entry-level category. When it moves, you learn that the hotel got cheaper, not that your room did.
Fermata tracks hotel prices one room category at a time. The Deluxe King, the corner suite, the overwater villa: each is its own series, checked every night, with its own history and its own alert. When you set a target, the alert is armed for that room and no other.
The distinction matters most where the spread between categories is widest. At a five-star property the entry room and the suite move on different curves, so a property-level price drop says nothing about the room you actually plan to book.
A rate tracker with the history to back it
A price alert answers one question: has it dropped yet. The harder question is whether the current rate is good at all. For every room it tracks, Fermata keeps the nightly record and a forward curve of bookable rates up to 330 days out, so today sits in context: the seasonal lows, the typical level, the spikes.
The result reads like the price-history charts you may know from flights or from CamelCamelCamel, drawn for a specific hotel room. You see what the room has asked before, what it asks now, and you decide with the record in front of you.
Coverage is deliberately luxury-first: more than 1,600 properties, from Aman and Rosewood to Park Hyatt and The Peninsula. Rooms whose rates swing hundreds of dollars a night are the rooms worth watching.
Already booked? Track the room and rebook when it drops
Hotel rates keep moving after you book. If your rate has free cancellation, a lower price later is money you can still take: book the same room at the new rate, then cancel the first booking before its deadline.
Fermata watches for that drop. Track the room and dates you booked, set the target just under the rate you paid, and you get an email when the nightly price falls to it, and another if it keeps falling. Nothing to forward and no booking to connect.
Compare like for like before you switch. The alert gives the lowest bookable rate for that room, which can be non-refundable while yours is flexible. If the new rate’s terms suit you, book it first, then cancel the original.
Hotel price history, room by room
Every hotel page shows each room’s nightly price across the coming months, its low, typical and high, and the months that run cheapest. Six to start with:
| Hotel | Entry room | Typical night | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| AmangiriUtah, United States | Desert Suite | $5,234 | $4,082 to $6,914 |
| Aman TokyoTokyo, Japan | Tokyo Suite | $3,266 | $1,813 to $8,534 |
| Rosewood Hong KongHong Kong | Kowloon Peak View Room Twin | $980 | $858 to $1,794 |
| Raffles SingaporeSingapore | State Room Suite 2 Doubles | $1,114 | $858 to $1,722 |
| The SavoyLondon, United Kingdom | Superior Queen | $1,058 | $650 to $1,481 |
| Fairmont Banff SpringsBanff, Canada | Deluxe King | $705 | $541 to $1,526 |
Typical night and range for the room each page opens on, two adults, in US dollars. Open a hotel to pick the exact room and set a target.
Hotel prices move nightly. Your attention should not have to
Rates are managed by revenue systems that reprice constantly. Five-star rooms swing 30 to 60 percent by date, and a Maldives overwater villa can move more than $1,200 between one week and the same week a month later.
Worth watching. Hard to watch by hand. So we watch it for you, every night, until the room you chose reaches your number.
What each kind of tracker watches
| Tool | What it watches | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Google Hotels | A property’s overall rate for your dates | That the hotel got cheaper, not that your room did |
| Post-booking rebooking apps | A reservation you already made | When to cancel and rebook the same stay |
| OTA deal alerts | Whatever inventory is on sale | What the seller wants to move this week |
| Fermata | The exact room category you chose, every night | When your room reaches the price you named |
Questions
Is Fermata free?
A free account includes one active tracker with a target-price email alert, the full hotel registry, and the forward price curve for each hotel’s default room. Premium ($99 a year) raises the limit to 10 trackers and unlocks every room’s curve; Pro ($199 a year) is unlimited and adds the market intelligence explorer.
Is there an app to download?
No download. Fermata is a web app and alerts arrive by email, so it works the same on any phone or laptop.
How often are prices checked?
Every night, for every tracked room. The nightly cadence is also what builds the price history the charts are drawn from.
Does Fermata track my booking after I book?
Fermata is built for the decision before you book: watch the room, read its history, book when it reaches your number. If you booked a refundable rate you can keep the tracker running and rebook if the price falls further, but we do not monitor a reservation for you.
Can you rebook a hotel if the price drops?
Yes, when your rate has free cancellation. Book the same room at the lower rate, then cancel the original before its cancellation deadline. To know when it drops, track the room and dates you booked on Fermata with a target just under what you paid. A non-refundable booking can’t be rebooked this way; you can ask the hotel, but it doesn’t have to change the price.
Which hotels can I track?
A growing roster of luxury properties, independents and the major luxury chains: Aman, Four Seasons, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, The Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt, The Peninsula, Belmond, and more. Search the registry to see whether yours is in.
Are the prices the ones I would actually pay?
Yes. Every observation is the publicly bookable rate for the room and dates you chose, the price you would find yourself if you went looking.
Can I see a room’s price history?
Yes. Every tracked room shows its nightly record and a forward curve of bookable rates, so you can judge whether today’s price is actually good before you set a target.
