"Which Aman is cheapest?" gets asked more than any other Aman question we see, and the honest answer is a table, not a name. We track every Aman's rates every night, so here is all of them, ranked by what a typical night actually costs as of 28 August 2026, with the range across the year and the month that lands lowest at each. Twenty-eight properties have a priced curve deep enough to rank. Two do not, and we say which and why at the end.
How the ranking works
Each Aman page on Fermata shows one room by default, the entry category at most properties, with its forward price curve for the next twelve months. The typical night below is the average of that curve, the same figure the hotel page states in its own summary and the same one behind its cheapest and priciest months. The range is the lowest and highest nightly rate on the curve. The cheapest month is the month whose typical rate sits lowest, computed so that a single outlier date cannot crown a month.
Three things to hold in mind while reading. First, Aman enforces a three-night minimum at most properties, so every figure is the per-night rate inside a three-night stay for two adults, taxes and fees included, in US dollars, converted nightly from the local currency where the property quotes in yen, yuan or euro. Second, the room matters more than the brand: the ranking compares the room each page shows, so a property whose entry room is a large villa will sit higher than one whose entry room is a suite. Where two neighbours are close, the room explains most of it. Third, a property does not need all twelve months to rank, and the table says how many each room has priced so far; where that is fewer than twelve, the cheapest and priciest months are the cheapest and priciest of those. Every hotel name below links to the page with the full curve and every other room.

Three price bands, one brand
Read the table as three bands. Seven Amans typically cost under $1,500 a night, and all seven are in China, India, Sri Lanka or Bali: Amanfayun outside Hangzhou at $933, Amandayan in Lijiang at $1,082, Amanyangyun outside Shanghai at $1,141, Amanbagh in Rajasthan at $1,215, Amangalla in Galle at $1,251, Amanwella on Sri Lanka's south coast at $1,350 and Amandari in Ubud at $1,458. If the question is "the cheapest Aman", the answer today is Amanfayun, whose Village Suite prices under its Village Room across the year, with the three Chinese properties within $210 of each other, and none of them is close to the middle of the range: the median Aman costs $2,018, more than twice Amanfayun.
Eleven properties sit between $1,500 and $2,500: Java, Bangkok, Morocco, Sveti Stefan in Montenegro, Bali's east coast, Laos, the Philippines, Vietnam, the tented camp at Ranthambore, Siem Reap and the tents of Moyo Island. Ten cost $2,500 or more: Venice, Japan's three, Paro in Bhutan, New York, the Caribbean pair, Utah and Los Cabos. Amangiri at $5,476 and Amanvari at $5,690 sit apart from everything else and, on today's read, close to each other: the largest step in the ranking is the one before them, $1,566 from Amanyara to Amangiri, and $214 separates the last two.
When each Aman is cheapest
The cheapest months cluster where you would expect them to at this end of the market, the shoulder and rainy seasons. August leads with six properties, September and February take four each, and January, June and October three each. The Caribbean pair, Amanera and Amanyara, both peak in February, the classic winter-sun shape, Amanera bottoming in August and Amanyara in June. Japan's three all bottom in the humid late summer, August at Aman Tokyo and Aman Kyoto, September at Amanemu, and climb into their peaks, April at Tokyo and Amanemu, the November foliage at Kyoto. The two Bali properties disagree with each other: Amankila is cheapest in February while Amandari is cheapest in January, and both peak in the July to August European holiday window.
How much the month is worth varies enormously. At Aman Sveti Stefan the February typical of $1,159 sits 62 percent below the July typical of $3,086. The Adriatic season is the whole story there. Aman Tokyo swings from $1,933 in August to $4,297 in cherry-blossom April, 55 percent, Amanyara the same 55 percent from June to February, and Aman Venice runs from $1,564 in February to $3,211 in July, 51 percent. Amanjena and Amansara also show a cheapest month about half the price of the dearest. At the other end, Amanjiwo moves 3 percent across the year, Amankora, Paro 7 percent, Amanyangyun 8 percent and Amanfayun 11 percent: at those three the month barely matters, so book when your plans are firm. Our earlier piece on how far ahead to book an Aman reached the same conclusion from a different angle: the month you stay moves the price, the lead time hardly does.
Two Amans we do not rank today
Two Amans are not in the table because they close for part of the year: Amanzoe in the Peloponnese for the winter, and Aman Rosa Alpina in the Dolomites between seasons. Their pages show the dates they sell.
How to use this
Start with the band that fits the trip, then the month. If you can move dates, moving them to the cheapest month is worth more at Sveti Stefan, Tokyo, Venice or the Caribbean than any amount of waiting for a drop. Then open the property's page, pick the exact room you want rather than the default one, read its curve to place today's quote, and set a target: we re-check the rate every night and email you when it reaches your number. If a refundable rate is offered, book it when plans firm up and track the room until the cancellation deadline. On a small resort, availability decides more than price does.
Frequently asked questions
Which Aman is the cheapest? Amanfayun, outside Hangzhou, at a typical $933 a night for its Village Suite as of 28 August 2026, taxes and fees included, followed by Amandayan ($1,082), Amanyangyun ($1,141) and Amanbagh ($1,215). Three of the four are in China, the fourth in Rajasthan.
Which Aman is the most expensive? Amanvari in Los Cabos, at a typical $5,690 a night for its Casita, then Amangiri in Utah at $5,476 for its Desert Suite. The two are within $215 of each other and both sit more than $1,500 above the next property, Amanyara at $3,910.
How much does an Aman cost per night? The median across the 28 ranked properties is $2,018, and the middle band, eleven properties, runs $1,500 to $2,500. Under $1,500 is possible at seven Asian properties. Over $3,000 is Japan, Bhutan, New York, the Caribbean, Utah and Los Cabos.
Why is Aman so expensive? Mostly because of what you get for the entry price. At most Amans the room a page opens on is a suite, pavilion, villa or casita rather than a standard room: Amanfayun's is a Village Suite, Amangiri's a Desert Suite. Every figure here is also the all-in rate, taxes and service charge included. Even so, the cheapest Aman, Amanfayun at $933, costs about what the median Mandarin Oriental does, and the median Aman runs $2,018 a night.
Do these figures include taxes? Yes. Every Aman rate on Fermata is the all-in nightly rate, taxes and service charge included, so the number here is the number you would see at checkout, and it matches the hotel page.
Are these the cheapest rooms at each Aman? They are the room each hotel page shows by default, the entry category at most properties. Every page lists the other rooms with their own curves, and a suite or villa can be several times the entry rate.
